Mission Statement
To provide a fenced, off leash dog park where well-behaved canines and their owners can exercise in a clean, safe environment without endangering or annoying people, property or wildlife. To develop and maintain an attractive space open to all dog lovers and friends who are willing to abide by the park’s rules. To view this park as a community project, in partnership with the City of Sutherlin, designed to satisfy the needs of community members and visitors. |

The Sutherlin Dog Park is a no-fee fenced area located among the pines at the top of the hill in Sutherlin’s Hartley Park.
Two separate play areas offer beautiful views and walking areas. A paved sidewalk offers wheelchair access.
Park maintenance is done by volunteers dedicated to providing both locals and travelers with a safe, clean, pleasant dog recreation area.
To help maintain the park and finance further improvements, tax deductible donations are gratefully accepted.

The dog park is laid out in three sections: 1) the entrance "lobby", 2) a smaller play area , and 3) a larger play area. There are rain/sun shelters in both the small and large park areas. There is ample parking and shade.
The park provides benches to sit on and lots of room to run, play or throw balls. Water and water bowls, as well as garbage cans and poop bags are provided.
The Park is open daily from dawn to dusk.
