Owners/Handlers
Owners/handlers must be in the park with their dogs and must have control of their dogs at all times. Children under the age of six (6) must be supervised by an adult. A maximum of three (3) dogs per owner/handler is allowed. Female dogs, while in heat, are not allowed in the park.
Clean Up
Owners/handlers are responsible for picking up all fecal matter from their dog(s). Bags and waste receptacles are provided in the park. Human food is prohibited. Dog training treats and drinking water are permitted.
Leash/Control Policy
The Sutherlin Dog Park is an off-leash park. However, dogs must be kept on a leash outside the fenced area. Dogs must be under complete voice control and within eyesight of the owner at all times. Any dogs that can- not be controlled off-leash will need to be leashed for the safety and enjoyment of all users. Dogs are not allowed to be in the park unattended.
Vaccinations/License
Dogs should be fully vaccinated and licensed. Dogs must have proof of current rabies vaccination; there-
fore puppies should be over 4 months of age to enjoy the Park. Every dog shall be licensed according to
Douglas County ordinance and no person shall have custody of a dog within the Park not so licensed.
Aggression
Aggressive dogs are not allowed and must be removed from the park at the first sign of aggression. Handlers
are responsible for any injuries caused by the dog(s) under their control. Any altercations between dogs must
be reported to the City of Sutherlin at 541-459-2211.
Injury/Liability
The Sutherlin Dog Park and the City of Sutherlin are not responsible for any injury to pets or owners/
handlers while using the park.
Digging
Please do not allow your dog to dig. If your dog does dig, please refill the hole. Holes can be a hazard for
dogs, people and maintenance vehicles. Failure to abide by these park rules may result in loss
of visitation privileges and owners/handlers may be ticketed.
